How to Make a Solar Charging Phone Case - Tired of your phone running out of battery on the go? Then you should make this solar phone case to charge your phone.
Steps by Steps :
1. Get the solar panel. A solar panel that produces 4-5 volts and one to two watts, hard plastic phone case, epoxy resin, hinge that fits the back of the phone case, soldering and soldering iron, PlastiDip dip in spray bottle, phone charging cable
2. Cut the charging cable about 8 inches from the connector on the phone.
3. Strip the outer layer of insulation and the insulation on the red and black wires as they are the ones carrying power.
4. Plug the cable into the phone and match the wires on the other end of the cable to the corresponding ones on the solar panel.
5. Attach the solar panel. Glue to the back of the case. The phone camera may not be usable and the phone may not work smoothly while charging. To attach this, glue the hinge to the backs of the solar panel and to the back of the phone case. When the hinge is open, the solar panel should be next to the phone.
6. Cover the front of the solar panel with masking tape and tape the wires over. Put the suitcase in a box. Following the directions on the can, spray the entire phone case with PlastiDip. After 2-3 hours apply another layer. After 3-4 layers it should have a good thickness.
7. Solder the wires from the solar panel to the corresponding wires on the charging cable using solder and a soldering iron. Use the soldering iron to heat up the wires. Then melt the solder onto the hot wires.
8. To keep the wires out of the way, put a few drops of epoxy on each and tape them to the back of the solar panel.
